Contract extensions for Freo trio

Fremantle’s Stephen Hill and Matt de Boer have committed to the club by signing two-year contract extensions.
Hill, 22, who debuted in 2009 and has played 73 games, agreed to an extension that will see him remain at the club through to the end of the 2015 season.
De Boer, who has made 59 appearances and is a member of the club’s leadership group, agreed to terms that will see the 22-year-old remain a Freo Docker until the end of the 2014 season.
Meanwhile, 18-year-old recruit Lachie Neale, who was drafted from South Australia last year, has agreed to a one-year extension through to the end of the 2014 season.
General manager of player management Brad Lloyd said the club was delighted to shore up the futures of the promising trio.
Suban signs on for two more years

Fremantle defender Nick Suban has agreed to terms for a two-year contract extension.
The 21-year-old, who was contracted through to the end of season 2012, has committed to the club through to the end of season 2014.
Suban has played 48 games for Fremantle since making his debut in round 1, 2009. He played all 22 home and away games in his debut season.
Originally from Bacchus Marsh in Victoria, Suban was recruited from North Ballarat in the 2008 NAB AFL Draft (pick 24).
Contract extensions for Crowley and Walters

Ryan Crowley and Michael Walters have both signed contract extensions with the Fremantle Dockers.
Crowley, who played 19 games for the club in 2011, has secured a one-year extension taking him through to the end of season 2012.
Walters, who has played 14 games for Fremantle since making his debut in round 11, 2009, also agreed to a one-year contract extension that will take him through to the end of the 2012 season.
Fremantle has now contracted all of its senior listed players for 2012 and beyond.
Nat Fyfe contract extension

Fremantle young gun Nat Fyfe has agreed to a contract extension that will see him commit to the club through to the end of the 2014 season.
General manager of player management Brad Lloyd confirmed today that the 19-year-old, who was originally contracted through to the end of the 2012 season, had agreed to a two-year contract extension.
“We regard Nat very highly both as a person and a player, and we are delighted that he has shown such a commitment to the club,” Lloyd said.
“Nat has had an outstanding start to his AFL career and we see him as being very much a part of the long-term future of the Fremantle Dockers.”
Recruited from WAFL club Claremont, Fyfe was Fremantle’s round two selection (pick 20 overall) in the 2009 NAB AFL Draft.
Originally from Lake Grace, 347kms south-east of Perth, he made his debut in round five, 2010 against Richmond and earned a NAB Rising Star nomination later that season after gathering 23 disposals in Fremantle’s win over the Sydney Swans at the SCG in round nine.
Fyfe has played 34 career games and kicked 28 goals.
Barlow recommits to Freo

Fremantle midfielder Michael Barlow has capped his return to football with a two-year contract extension, committing to the club until the end of the 2014 season.
Barlow joins captain Matthew Pavlich, reigning club champion David Mundy and influential ruckman Aaron Sandilands in signing on for the next three seasons, with Sandilands announcing his one-year extension on Monday.
The 23-year-old made his anticipated return to senior football against Melbourne in round 13, almost 12 months after suffering a horrific broken leg in round 14 last year.
General manager of player management Brad Lloyd said Fremantle had been monitoring Barlow’s recovery closely before announcing the contract extension on Tuesday.
“As soon as the all clear was given, we were keen to get a commitment from Michael and, similarly, for the club to confirm its commitment to
him,” Lloyd said.
Five Freo Dockers sign new deals

Fremantle forward Hayden Ballantyne has committed to the club through to the end of season 2014.
The club’s first pick in the 2009 NAB National Draft, Anthony Morabito, plus 2010 recruits Tendai Mzungu and Jayden Pitt have also signed contract extensions with the club, while Kepler Bradley today signed a new two-year contract.
Ballantyne, who has played 35 games and kicked 53 goals for Fremantle since making his AFL debut in 2009, signed a two-year contract extension.
Morabito, who played 23 games in his debut season last year but will miss the 2011 season because of a knee injury, has agreed a to a one-year contract extension through to the end of season 2013.
2011 debutants Mzungu and Pitt have also both signed one-year contract extensions through to the end of the 2013 season.

Fremantle look to sure up stars for future

Fremantle has started discussions over new player deals with leading AFL agent Colin Young who handles up to a dozen top Dockers.
Ace small forward Hayden Ballantyne, in-form big man Kepler Bradley, veteran utility Michael Johnson and 2008 NAB Rising Star Rhys Palmer are all out of contract at the end of this season.
They have all been linked with possible lures from Greater Western Sydney Giants as the new club establishes a list for their inaugural AFL season next year.
Duffield and Mayne extend contracts

Paul Duffield and Chris Mayne have agreed to contract extensions with the Fremantle Dockers.
Duffield has committed to the club through to the end of season 2014, while Mayne’s two-year extension will see him at the Fremantle Dockers until the end of 2013.
Both players are members of Fremantle’s 2011 leadership group, and General manager of player management Brad Lloyd said it was exciting to have them re-sign.
“We are delighted to have Paul and Chris commit to the club because they are both young leaders and very important players at this football club,” Lloyd said.
Duffield had a solid 2010 season playing a half-back/ midfield role and was the only Freo player to play all 22 regular games and two finals.
Mayne enters his fourth season of AFL football in season 2011, with his pressure skills inside the attacking half a highlight of his game. In 2010, he managed to kick 16 goals from his 14 games.
Grover on track to double ton

Popular Fremantle defender Antoni Grover has secured an extension to his career and the chance to cross a milestone that only four other Dockers have achieved.
Grover, 30, has ended months of speculation on his future with a new one-year contract to possibly reach 200 games late into next season.
The durable full-back has played 181 games since his debut against Sydney colossus Tony Lockett at the WACA Ground back in 1999.
Grover would join reigning Dockers games record-holder Shane Parker (238), champion captain Matthew Pavlich (236), centreliner Shaun McManus (228) and recently retired follower Paul Hasleby on 208 games over the double-century mark.
Contract extension for Luke McPharlin

Fremantle defender Luke McPharlin has today has agreed to a two-year contract extension.
The 28-year-old, who became eligible for life membership after playing his 150th game for the club in round 18, has committed to Fremantle through to the end of season 2012.
