Fremantle small forward Michael Walters is set to return to the club and participate in selected training sessions.

Walters has been training with his WAFL club Swan Districts since January, after Fremantle determined he was not meeting the physical requirements for AFL football.

General manager football operations Chris Bond said since that time the club had worked with the 21-year-old to keep him focused on achieving the standard required for AFL level.

“We are satisfied with the progress Michael has made so far, and believe that he is now at the stage where he could benefit from returning to the club to participate in selected training sessions,” Bond said.
