Hayden Ballantyne has been offered a two-game suspension for a behind the play incident involving Geelong’s Paul Chapman from Saturday night’s game.

The livewire forward/midfielder was charged with a Level Three striking offence against Chapman during the first quarter after analysis of video evidence available and a medical report from the Cats.

His incident was assessed as intentional conduct, medium impact and body contact, earning six activation points and 225 demerit points.

Due to his previous record, his two-match sanction must remain at two matches, even with an early plea.

The club has until 9am tomorrow (WST) to advise the AFL if it will accept the ban or challenge it.
