Viv Michie has suffered a setback in his recovery from a stress fracture in his right foot.

Scans and further testing have confirmed that the 20-year-old, who was drafted in 2010 and is yet to make his debut, has a second stress fracture in his injured foot.

Michie missed most of last season after suffering a stress fracture in the same foot.

“It’s very disappointing for Viv, who is very talented and who we believe is a long-term player with the club,” said general manager of football operations Chris Bond.

“A time frame for Viv’s return to full training will be confirmed in due course.”
