Fremantle Dockers player Luke McPharlin is making an appearance on The Footy Show tonight ahead of the release of his six-track EP.

McPharlin told Access All Areas that he was “very excited” to be performing his new single Leaders on the show with band members Damien Carbon and Jonathan and Domenic Romeo from WA band Stella’s Kitchen.

His first single has had positive reviews and now with Harpoon Productions onboard, the self-trained guitarist is grabbing the publicity bull by its horns, excited by the prospect of touring Perth.

“I’ve got a music manager now and he’s been on top of promotions. We’ve been focusing on getting radio play and at some stage we’ll be doing some gigs around Perth to promote our EP, which we’re looking to release in November or December,” McPharlin said.

Despite the success of his music projects, Fremantle Dockers fans have no need to panic. McPharlin is still fully focused on the upcoming season with new coach Ross Lyon.

“Mark Harvey leaving was a big shock for all involved but I’ve heard tremendous things about Ross Lyon. I’m keen to meet him and start the new season,” he said.

The Footy Show airs today at 9.30pm on Nine and WIN.
