Fremantle Dockers midfielder Anthony Morabito is likely to miss the 2011 season after injuring his anterior cruciate ligament at training this morning.

He will undergo surgery on his left knee early next week.
Morabito made his debut for Fremantle in round 1 of the 2010 season and played 23 games, earning a NAB Rising Star nomination in round 22.

“It appears to be just an unfortunate incident, not as a result of a collision,” said general manager of football operations Chris Bond.

“At the present time all of our efforts are focused on Anthony’s well-being.”
