Freo and Sydney set for Redkite Cup
This Saturday Fremantle takes on the Sydney Swans at Subiaco Oval in a battle for the Redkite Cup.
A charity partner of both clubs, Redkite supports children, young people and their families through cancer by providing emotional support, financial assistance and educational services.
And as is the case every time Fremantle and Sydney play against each other, the winner takes home the Redkite Cup.
The inaugural Redkite Cup match took place in round 19, 2008, when Sydney won the honours at the SCG.
Fremantle bounced back to defeat the Swans at Subiaco Oval in round 5, 2009, and retained the cup with a win at the SCG in round 9 earlier this season.
Freo’s players have shown their support for Redkite by visiting children in hospital oncology wards, organising and participating in family days and participating in fundraising and community events.
You can show your support for Redkite at Saturday’s match by donating to one of the volunteers outside the gates and receive your free ‘Go Freo’ banner.

Fremantle and Redkite would like to thank everyone for getting on board and supporting this great cause.
