Sibosado leaves Tigers

0

Fremantle rookie squad member Casey Sibosado has been transferred from Claremont to Perth in a bit to improve his chances of graduating to AFL ranks.

Sibosado, a product of Beagle Bay but who joined the Dockers last year via the Oakleigh Chargers, has failed to play a league match with the Tigers in 2010, mainly due to the strength of Claremont’s unbeaten team.

He played three league matches in his debut league season in 2009.

The Dockers made the request to the WAFL and the 19-year-old was cleared this afternoon.

Sibosado is expected to line-up for the Demons in their league clash with Swan Districts at EFTel Oval on Saturday.

Mark Harvey’s purple heart at Fremantle Dockers

0

MARK Harvey was a very smart footballer.

He is remembered for his reckless courage, but as a 185.5cm centre half-back in a premiership side he needed to know where the ball was going before anyone else on the field.

As a player he was also an on-field coach.

In 1993, he played centre half-back and I was at centre half-forward.

He had worked out that in general play I could lose my man and he could slip into the forward line unmarked and get a goal or two if we swapped positions with a wink and a look.
